Algebra I Course Information

Algebra 1 is the first course of the traditional high school math curriculum.   At the iSchool, Algebra 1 is a year long course, that meet four times a week and is worth two math credits.  The course culminates in the New York State Common Core Regents Exam.

There are 2 main promotional criteria to complete the course:  earn a 75+ on the Regents Exam and earn 65+ of the Mastery Points for the course.

This course is a blended class, which means that there is a substantial online component to the class.  Students are expected to complete homework four times a week and watch three-four videos outside of class.   Students are expected to have internet access at home to complete these portions of the class, or utilize the computers at school.
